In 2013, Irish Standard (I.S.) 373:2013 ‘Universal Design for customer engagement in tourism services’ was published by NSAI, the National standards Authority of Ireland. To apply the guidance from this standard the Centre for Excellence in Universal Design developed 4 Toolkits. These Toolkits provided practical guidance on how to use Universal Design as a tool for better engaging with your customers.

These Toolkits have since been superseded by the Customer Communications Toolkit for Services to the Public - A Universal Design Approach. After the Toolkits were developed to implement the 2013 standard, the Centre for Excellence in Universal Design also developed four case studies with Fáilte Ireland.

These case studies are available as captioned videos below.
